Description
When your transmission starts running hotter than it should, you need to know about it before damage happens. This transmission temperature switch mounts on the transmission housing and alerts you when things are getting too warm, giving you the chance to stop work and figure out what’s going on before an expensive repair becomes necessary. It’s one of those little parts that can save you from big headaches down the road.
What You’re Getting
- Sealed construction and robust internal contacts maintain reliable operation through thousands of cycles
- Built to endure heat, vibration, and potential fluid contamination in the harsh transmission environment
- Accurate temperature sensing protects expensive transmission components from thermal damage
- Direct replacement that fits right where your old switch was mounted
Built for Real Farm Work
This switch covers an impressive range of Massey Ferguson tractors from the smaller 3000 series utility tractors all the way up to the big 8700 series machines. Whether you’re running a 3075 around the farmyard, pulling heavy implements with a 6400 series, or pushing the limits with an 8700 series during harvest, this switch keeps watch over your transmission temperature during all those demanding operations.
Made to Last
Located in the harsh environment near the transmission housing, this switch has to endure heat, vibration, and potential fluid contamination. The sealed design keeps moisture and dirt out while the heavy-duty contacts ensure reliable operation season after season. It’s built to handle the constant temperature cycling that happens during normal tractor operation.
Installation Notes
Clean the mounting area thoroughly before installation – contamination can prevent proper seating. The switch threads into the bottom of the transmission case where the old one came out. While you’ve got it apart, it’s a good time to check your transmission fluid level and condition – overheating often starts with low or dirty fluid.
