Description
When your tractor starts throwing emissions codes or running rough during long days in the field, the exhaust gas temperature sensor might be telling your engine’s aftertreatment system that something’s not right. This sensor monitors the temperature of exhaust gases as they flow through your diesel particulate filter and other emissions equipment, helping your engine stay compliant while delivering the power you need to get work done.
What You’re Getting
- Precise temperature monitoring that keeps your aftertreatment system working properly
- OEM-quality construction that handles the extreme heat and vibration of diesel exhaust
- Direct replacement that plugs right into your existing wiring harness
- Accurate readings that prevent unnecessary regen cycles and keep you productive
Built for Real Farm Work
This sensor fits across Case IH’s modern tractor lineup, from the versatile Farmall series that handles everything from hay to cattle work, to the high-horsepower Optum and Puma tractors built for serious row crop farming. Whether you’re running a Maxxum with a loader or pushing a big Puma through spring planting, this sensor helps your engine manage emissions without sacrificing performance.
Made to Last
Exhaust gas sensors live in one of the harshest environments on your tractor – right in the stream of hot diesel exhaust. This one’s built with heat-resistant materials and robust wiring that won’t fail when temperatures climb or when road dust and field debris put everything to the test.
Installation Notes
The sensor threads into your exhaust system, usually near the diesel particulate filter. Let the engine cool completely before starting – exhaust components get incredibly hot. Use anti-seize compound on the threads to make future removal easier, and be gentle with the electrical connector to avoid damage.
