Description
When you need maximum traction working through muddy fields or pulling heavy equipment up grades, your 4WD system has to deliver power smoothly to those front wheels. If you’re experiencing grinding noises when engaging front wheel drive, delayed engagement when you flip the switch, or complete loss of front axle power right when you need it most, chances are your drive shaft is the culprit. This precision replacement drive shaft restores full 4WD function to your New Holland T6 or T6000 series tractor.
What You’re Getting
- Precision-machined splines that mesh perfectly to handle high torque loads when pulling through challenging conditions
- Heavy-duty construction built to transfer full engine power without twisting or binding
- Direct replacement that fits your SuperSteer-equipped 4-cylinder models perfectly
- Heat-treated components that ensure exceptional wear resistance and extended service life
Built for Real Farm Work
This shaft fits New Holland T6000 series tractors including the T6010-T6060 models in Delta and Elite variants, plus the newer T6 series including T6.120 through T6.180 models. Whether you’re running a mid-range T6.140 on mixed farming operations or pushing a T6060 through heavy field work, these are the tractors that handle everything from loader work to heavy tillage where reliable 4WD engagement makes the difference.
Made to Last
This isn’t just a metal tube with splines – it’s a precisely engineered component that handles tremendous torque while spinning at various speeds. The shaft undergoes specialized heat treatment that creates a hard wearing surface while maintaining a tough, flexible core that won’t snap under shock loads. The splines are cut to exact tolerances to eliminate the slop that causes premature wear.
Installation Notes
Installation requires dropping the front axle drive components, so budget 2-3 hours if you’re doing it yourself. While you’re in there, inspect the universal joints, carrier bearing, and differential seals. If splines were stripped or worn, check for misalignment or worn support bearings, and clean all spline connections thoroughly to prevent rapid wear of the new shaft.
