Description
Your PTO shaft is what puts the power where it counts. When you’ve got hay that needs baling before rain hits or a manure spreader waiting to clean out the barn, a worn PTO shaft with slipping splines isn’t just inconvenient – it can shut down your whole operation. If you’re hearing grinding noises when you engage the PTO or feeling slippage under load, this replacement shaft gets you back to transferring full engine power to your implements.
What You’re Getting
- Dual spline configuration – 6 splines on one end, 21 splines on the other
- Exact 235mm length matches your tractor’s original specification
- Precision-machined splines that engage solidly without binding or slipping
- Heavy-duty construction built to handle the shock loads of field work
Built for Real Farm Work
This shaft powers your John Deere 6005 series utility tractors and the popular 6020 series models that handle everything from hay production to loader work. Whether you’re running a rotary cutter through thick grass, powering a post hole digger in hard clay, or operating a manure spreader in the barnyard, this is the same shaft that came on your tractor from the factory.
Made to Last
PTO shafts take tremendous punishment – constant torque loads, shock from engaging implements, and the wear that comes from thousands of hours transferring power. This shaft is machined to exact tolerances using quality steel that resists the twisting forces and spline wear that eventually destroy lesser parts. The dual-speed capability gives you the flexibility to run both 540 and 1000 RPM implements.
Installation Notes
Most operators can swap this shaft in about an hour with basic tools. Clean the splines thoroughly before installation and check that circlips are in good shape – you’ll need parts 59501 and 58445 if they need replacing. While you’ve got the PTO housing open, it’s smart to inspect the seal for leaks and replace if needed.
