Built for Real Farm Work
The FCH series is designed to fit JD 726,940-960-980, 985,1600; IHC Vibrashank; D.M.I.; Tigermate; Kent; Hiniker; Ingham; JD; Wil-Rich; Crust-Buster; Hesston; Landoll; Rhino; Athens; Flexi-Coil; Sunflower field cultivators. These are the workhorses you see preparing seedbeds on corn and soybean ground, working wheat stubble, and doing secondary tillage after chisel plowing. The 6-inch width works well in typical 7.5 to 9-inch shank spacing setups.
Made to Last
This sweep is built to handle the rocks, roots, and varying soil conditions you’ll encounter in real field work. The 1/4-inch thickness gives you good soil flow while providing enough material to last through multiple seasons. It’s designed to wear evenly and maintain its cutting edge longer than thinner sweeps that might work fine in perfect conditions but don’t hold up in the real world.
Installation Notes
This is a direct bolt-on replacement using standard 7/16-inch plow bolts. Make sure your shank angle matches the 47-degree specification for proper soil flow. If you’re replacing worn sweeps, it’s a good time to check your shank bolts and replace any that are getting stretched or worn – loose sweeps don’t work worth a darn and you’ll lose them in the field.
