Built for Real Farm Work
Your Ford 2030 is a utility workhorse that handles everything from loader duties to mowing, cultivation, and light tillage work. These Ford 3-cylinder tractors are everywhere – the 2000, 3000, and 4000 series, plus the newer 2600, 3600, 4600, 4100, and x610 models. They’re the do-everything tractors on small to medium farms, perfect for loader work, mowing, raking, and light tillage. When properly rebuilt, these engines are nearly bulletproof and will give you years of dependable service.
Made to Last
Tru-Power builds this kit with components that handle the constant heat cycling, vibration, and stress that comes with real farm work. The gaskets use materials designed for diesel applications, while the bearings and rings are manufactured to OEM specifications. This isn’t a cheap rebuild kit that’ll leave you stranded during hay season.
Good to Know
A complete overhaul is serious work that’s best done during slower seasons when you can take the time to do it right. While you’ve got the engine apart, consider having your injection pump serviced and replace your fuel filters. Changing a manifold gasket is a decent afternoon project if you’re handy with wrenches. You’ll need to remove the air cleaner, disconnect the exhaust pipe, and unbolt the manifold – not terrible on these tractors since everything’s pretty accessible. This is also the perfect time to check your cooling system and replace any questionable hoses.
