Installation Notes
Replacing U-joints isn’t complicated, but it pays to do it right. Mark your yoke positions before disassembly to maintain proper driveline phasing. Press out old bearings using appropriate tools; hammering damages yokes. Clean yoke bores thoroughly – any dirt here causes premature failure. Never reuse snap rings – they lose tension and pop out when you least expect it. If one U-joint is bad, rebuild them all – they wear at similar rates.
