Description
When you glance at your temperature gauge and it’s reading stone cold on a warm engine, or pegged in the red when everything feels fine, you’ve got a failing temperature sensor. A faulty sender that reads low might let you cook an engine before realizing there’s a problem, while one reading high causes unnecessary panic and downtime chasing problems that don’t exist. This replacement sensor gets your gauge telling the truth again.
What You’re Getting
- Accurate resistance curve matches original gauge calibration so your readings are spot-on
- Brass construction resists corrosion from coolant additives for long-term reliability
- Standard thread size fits directly into engine block or thermostat housing with no modifications needed
- Single-wire design simplifies installation and diagnosis when troubleshooting
Built for Real Farm Work
This sensor fits a wide range of Ford New Holland tractors from the smaller 2600 and 3600 utility models up through the heavyweight 6600, 7600, and 8700 series machines. Whether you’re running a compact tractor for loader work around the farm or pulling heavy implements with a bigger machine, accurate temperature monitoring keeps you out of trouble when the work gets demanding.
Made to Last
Temperature senders work by varying electrical resistance as temperature changes, and this one’s built to keep giving accurate readings through years of temperature swings and engine vibration. The brass construction won’t corrode like cheap sensors, and the calibration stays true so your gauge reads what your engine actually needs.
Installation Notes
Let the engine cool completely and relieve cooling system pressure, have a catch pan ready since you’ll lose some coolant when removing the old sender, and clean the threads in the mounting boss to prevent leaks. Use thread sealant rated for coolant contact but don’t overdo it, and hand-thread first to avoid cross-threading in aluminum housings.
