Description
When you’re crawling under your Ford 801, 901, or 4000 trying to figure out why fuel is dripping from the sediment bowl, nine times out of ten it’s this little banjo bolt that’s the culprit. Clean fuel is your diesel engine’s lifeblood, and this pre-cleaner sediment bowl is your first line of defense against water, dirt, and debris that can wreak havoc on your injection system. Acting as a settling tank before fuel reaches your main filter, this bowl lets heavy contaminants drop out of the fuel stream, but only if it’s properly sealed with the right hardware.
What You’re Getting
- 7/16″ banjo bolt designed specifically for Ford fuel sediment bowl assemblies
- Proper threading that won’t strip or cross-thread in your sediment bowl housing
- Quality construction that handles the constant fuel exposure and vibration
- Direct replacement for the original bolt – no modifications needed
Built for Real Farm Work
This banjo bolt is engineered for the fuel sediment bowl assembly on Ford tractors from the early 1960s – specifically the 801, 901, and 4000 models from 1960-1964. These workhorses spent their days in the fields doing everything from cultivating and planting to mowing and loader work, and their fuel systems took a beating from dusty conditions and the inevitable water contamination that comes with farm-stored diesel.
Made to Last
The thick glass construction handles the constant vibration and temperature changes that come with field work, but it’s the banjo bolt that keeps everything sealed up tight. This replacement is built to the same specifications as the original, with proper metallurgy to resist corrosion from diesel fuel exposure and maintain its seal over years of service.
Installation Notes
This bolt works specifically with the C0NN9155A fuel sediment bowl assembly. Thread it in by hand first to avoid cross-threading, then snug it down with a wrench – just enough to compress the sealing washer without over-tightening. Before installing a new bowl, clean the filter head thoroughly and inspect the rubber gasket for cracks or deterioration – a bad gasket will cause leaks even with a new bowl. Hand-tighten only to avoid cracking the glass threads.
