Description
When your old disc blades start pushing residue around instead of cutting through it, you know it’s time for replacements that’ll actually do the job. This 20-inch notched disc blade brings back that aggressive cutting action your harrow needs to slice through corn stalks, wheat stubble, and tough crop residue instead of just rolling over it.
What You’re Getting
- Sharp notched edge design that cuts residue aggressively with each notch creating a scissor action
- Quality Boron 15B26 steel construction that holds its edge through acres of tough tillage work
- 46-52 Rockwell hardness that’s tough enough to stay sharp but won’t shatter on hidden rocks
- 1.88-inch concavity creates proper soil throw and mixing action for effective tillage
- Single punch mounting hole fits standard 1-1/8 inch square axles
Built for Real Farm Work
This blade fits disc harrows and vertical tillage tools that use 1-1/8 inch square axles. Whether you’re working through heavy corn residue, breaking up compacted ground after harvest, or preparing a clean seedbed for spring planting, the notched edge design excels in high-residue conditions where smooth blades just can’t cut it.
Made to Last
Osmundson doesn’t mess around with blade materials. This Boron steel maintains the perfect balance – hard enough to hold an edge through season after season of tough work, but not so brittle it’ll crack when you hit that field stone you didn’t see coming. The 3/16-inch thickness provides durability without being so heavy it bogs down your tractor.
Good to Know
Installation is straightforward – just slide onto your square axle and secure with your existing hardware. Keep in mind that notched blades can be too aggressive in light soils or minimal residue conditions. Many farmers run notched blades on front gangs for cutting and smooth blades on rear gangs for finishing. When replacing blades, never mix worn and new on the same gang since the diameter difference creates uneven cutting.
