Description

When your disc blades start pushing through the soil instead of cutting clean, it’s time for fresh steel that’ll do the job right. This 24-inch smooth blade brings back that clean cutting action you need for effective tillage work, turning soil and working crop residue without the aggressive action of notched blades. Perfect for finishing passes and maintaining smooth seedbeds.

What You’re Getting

  • Built from heat-treated Boron 15B26 steel with 46-52 Rockwell hardness – tough enough to handle rocks and roots but won’t chip when you hit something hard
  • 3/16-inch thickness provides the right balance of durability and soil penetration for most tillage conditions
  • Standard 2.80-inch concavity moves soil effectively while maintaining good penetration
  • Single punch mounting hole fits 1-3/4 inch round axles – the most common size on mid-size harrows
  • Smooth edge works residue without chopping it into pieces that can plug up your planter

Built for Real Farm Work

This blade fits disc harrows, field cultivators, and vertical tillage tools that run 1-3/4 inch round axles. Whether you’re working corn ground in the fall, preparing soybean stubble for planting, or doing summer tillage to control weeds, smooth blades give you the finishing touch that notched blades can’t match. They’re especially handy for that final pass before planting when you want soil moved but not chopped up.

Made to Last

The Boron steel construction maintains hardness through seasons of use while staying tough enough not to shatter on field stones. Ingersoll’s heat treatment process ensures consistent performance across the entire blade surface, so you get even wear and reliable cutting action acre after acre.

Good to Know

When replacing blades, never mix old and new on the same gang – the diameter difference will leave uneven cutting patterns. Check your blade diameter annually by measuring across the widest point; most blades need replacing when they’ve worn down 3-4 inches from original size. A little penetrating oil on the axle threads makes installation much easier, especially if the old blades have been on there a while.
