Good to Know
When replacing blades, never mix old and new on the same gang – the diameter difference will leave uneven cutting patterns. Check your blade diameter annually by measuring across the widest point; most blades need replacing when they’ve worn down 3-4 inches from original size. A little penetrating oil on the axle threads makes installation much easier, especially if the old blades have been on there a while.
