Description
When your transmission starts shifting rough or your hydraulic systems feel sluggish, there’s a good chance it’s time for a fresh transmission filter. Dirty filters cause more expensive problems down the road – transmission damage from worn-out fluid that could leave you stuck in the middle of harvest. This Baldwin B252 filter keeps your Allison transmission running smooth and protects those expensive internal components from contamination.
What You’re Getting
- Anti-drainback valve that keeps fluid in the filter when you shut down, so you’ve got instant lubrication on startup
- 20 PSID bypass valve ensures fluid keeps flowing even if the filter gets plugged with debris
- 5 15/32 inch length with 3 11/16 inch outer diameter for proper fit and adequate filtration capacity
- Standard 3/4-16 thread size makes installation straightforward with no adapters needed
- Baldwin has been making filters for decades, and they know what it takes to handle farm conditions
Built for Real Farm Work
This filter is designed for agricultural equipment with Allison automatic transmissions – the workhorses that power everything from combines and large tractors to specialty equipment that needs reliable shifting under load. Essential for tractors used in demanding farming operations including field preparation, planting, cultivation, harvesting, and loader work. Whether you’re running through muddy fields or working in dusty conditions, these transmissions take a beating.
Made to Last
Baldwin builds this filter to handle the temperature swings, vibration, and pressure changes that come with heavy equipment operation. The robust construction and quality filter media capture contaminants while maintaining proper oil flow, protecting your transmission from the kind of wear that leads to expensive rebuilds.
Installation Notes
This is a direct spin-on replacement that installs in minutes. Before threading on the new filter, wipe a thin coat of clean oil on the gasket, then hand-tighten only 3/4 turn after the gasket contacts the mounting surface. Over-tightening just makes the next change harder and can damage the seal.
