Description
If you’ve noticed your tractor’s brakes feeling spongy or taking more pedal pressure to stop like they should, chances are your brake slave cylinder seals are starting to give up. Instead of replacing the whole cylinder, this repair kit lets you rebuild what you’ve got and get back to full stopping power for a fraction of the cost.
What You’re Getting
- Complete seal and gasket set designed specifically for your Case IH 55 series brake system
- High-quality seals that handle the pressure cycles and temperature swings of farm work
- Everything needed to restore proper hydraulic pressure and eliminate internal leaks
- Direct fit replacement seals – no modifications or workarounds needed
Built for Real Farm Work
This repair kit works with Case IH 1255, 1255XL, 1455, and 1455XL tractors from the 55 series lineup. Whether you’re running a loader, pulling implements across rolling hills, or hauling loaded wagons down steep drives, these tractors need brakes that respond immediately when you press the pedal.
Made to Last
Farm tractors put brake systems through thousands of pressure cycles in conditions that would make automotive parts quit. These seals are built with compounds that resist breakdown from hydraulic fluid, temperature extremes, and the constant vibration that comes with real farm work.
Installation Notes
Rebuilding a brake slave cylinder isn’t complicated, but it does require careful attention to cleanliness – any dirt or debris will cause premature seal failure. The complete slave cylinder assembly is available separately as part 52546 if your cylinder bore is scored or damaged beyond repair. Make sure to bleed the system thoroughly after installation to get all the air out.
